Turkish, Somali Presidents discuss bilateral relations

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed Thursday bilateral relations with his Somali counterpart, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, in the capital Ankara .They also discussed regional and international issues.A statement issued by the Turkish Presidency's Communications Directorate said that President Erdogan stressed during the meeting that his country attaches great importance to peace, stability, and the territorial integrity of Somalia, noting that the support provided to the process of establishing lasting peace and stability with Ethiopia will continue without interruption.Erdogan added that close cooperation with Somalia in the fight against terrorism will also continue, and that Turkiye stands with the Somali people against terrorism.President Erdogan emphasized the importance of cooperation between Turkiye and Somalia in the fields of economy, trade, security, and defense.
