US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was forced to return to the US last night after his plane experienced a mechanical failure while en route to Germany, marking his second overseas trip since taking office.Spokesperson for US State Department Tammy Bruce stated the aircraft carrying Rubio from Washington to Munich encountered a mechanical issue, requiring it to return to Joint Base Andrews in the outskirts of Washington.Bruce added Rubio would continue his trip to Germany and the Middle East aboard another aircraft.Rubio was scheduled to attend the Munich Security Conference today, where he was set to join US Vice President J.D. Vance for a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Following the conference, he was expected to embark on a tour of several Middle Eastern countries.
