A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by the UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation and the Dubai Police Athletes Council to promote collaboration in the fields of épée fencing, 200-meter freestyle swimming, obstacle course running, and laser pistol shooting.
Dr. Maryam Anas Al Matroushi, the Chairman of the Dubai Police Athletes Council, and Huda Al Matroushi, the President of the UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation, signed the Memorandum of Understanding at the Dubai Officers Club in the presence of various representatives from each organization.
The UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation and Dubai Police both have a desire to improve their sports cooperation, as evidenced by the signing of the MoU. This cooperative effort aims to realize common objectives and promote a dynamic and successful collaboration.
Dr. Maryam Al Matroushi praised the partnership between Dubai Police and the UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation while stressing Dubai Police’s dedication to forging alliances with both the public and commercial sectors in the sports industry.
The federation and Dubai Police will be actively involved in building a strong community of athletes in these five disciplines, she emphasized, especially in light of their relevance to the military industry. She also emphasized that signing the memorandum would further strengthen sports cooperation between the two entities.
According to the agreement, the Dubai Police Sports Council will choose students and staff members to compete in contemporary pentathlon competitions. Additionally, a chosen group of workers will be selected for other training and development initiatives.
The MoU emphasizes Dubai Police’s dedication to helping the UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation identify talent inside Dubai Police and among local schools. Its goals are to identify promising athletes, support their growth, devise training plans, provide sports facilities and equipment for hosting competitions and national modern pentathlon team camps, all in line with the federation’s priorities. In order to efficiently complete the set objectives, it also entails the creation of cooperative work teams and committees.
The UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation will actively include athletes in competitions as well as coaches, referees, and sports talent. Along with promoting the modern pentathlon’s culture, it will concentrate on preparing players, coaches, and referees.
