The luxury of having thoughts about love is not something that the modern, rapid life allows. That is until we become free from the constraints of our own goals and other interests and discover that we are more alone than we realise. No matter their age or race, many people search for it on online dating sites or news feeds, pushing actual discussions to the side. Like everything else, matchmakers who are aware of what ‘vibing’ with someone actually implies are taking care of our emotional desire for company. But whatever does it need to genuinely put oneself in their position and unite two people?
Christiana Maxion had an excellent career as a course manager, teacher trainer, school administrator, and author before moving from a profession in finance to one in education. Then the pandemic struck, which caused us to reflect on ourselves. Christiana began writing about her dating experiences in Dubai both during and after the lockdown, and she soon discovered that it had become so well-liked that many of her fans were asking her for suggestions on relationships. “I was always a bridge for friendships, business partnerships, and love affairs. I wanted to help people, so I invested in my education, training, programmes, and coaching to become a qualified dating coach and expert matchmaker.
In October 2021, Christiana launched her own company, Christiana Maxion Solutions, after speaking with a legal team regarding the regulations for launching a professional matchmaking service in Dubai. “Eight months after the launch, I received a call from the world’s two largest matchmaking companies, Cinque Matchmaking and Patti Stanger’s Millionaire’s Club, offering to work together to go global and develop a formal relationship. This new partnership not only signalled an important new achievement but also gave our clients endless matchmaking opportunities around the world, boosting their chances of finding “the one. Christiana currently collaborates with six “expert matchmakers around the world who conversation, verify, vet, offer potential match; plan, book, verify dates; manage relationships and provide input for our customers in order to speed up the dating journey and find their success in their romantic lives.” Which naturally prompts the question: What traits do a successful modern matchmaker need to have? Christiana claims that in order to be an “expert matchmaker,” one must possess an in-depth awareness of human biology and behaviour. This knowledge enables one to recognise the compatibility traits that indicate a long-lasting and fulfilling relationship. They learn to read people’s personalities well, which helps them create tailored matches with shared interests, values, and dreams.
Christiana cites her clients’ adjusted outsourcing lifestyles and the fact that “we take care of EVERYTHING” as the reasons why her customised matchmaking services are growing in popularity in the GCC. Successive singles looking for a difficult-to-find match, people looking for help after a divorce, introverts, those who want to start out casually dating to figure out who they are really looking for in a match, and workers who are just too busy to find anyone on their own is frequently those who use these services.
