Bollywood’s “Action Hero,” Ayushmann Khurrana, will take the stage at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island for the next International Indian Academy Awards 2023, one month after stunning people in Dubai with his performance at Coca-Cola Arena. The event evenings will be held on May 26 and 27 at the Etihad Arena in the nation’s capital. My passion is acting, but I cannot survive without music, Ayushmann said in an April interview with City Times. “Singing still fills my spirit, for me. I’m not a professional singer. Every time I perform live, I experience this state of bliss, which is unique to me. Thousands of people are present, and I think to myself, “Am I being paid for this?” When you get to do what you love while also getting paid for it, it is truly an incredible feeling. It’s not anything I imagined. This is how it differs from movies. The 38-year-old performer joins an already outstanding lineup of artists that includes Salman Khan, Varun Dhawan, Nora Fatehi, and more. The artist developed a large following through quirky and testing films (Vicky Donor, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, and Andhadhun) as well as nice songs like Mitti Di Khushboo, Ik Vaari, and Pani was Da Rang. On May 27, Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan will headline the IIFA 2023 Awards night. Farah Khan and Rajkummar Rao will act as the event’s hosts, and Badshah & Sunidhi Chauhan will be among the performers at IIFA Rocks on May 26.
‘Weapons’ star Pedro Pascal will use his weapons in the upcoming movie
The makers of the unexpected horror hit Barbarian have enlisted Games of Thrones actor Pedro Pascal to take on a significant role in their new thriller Weapons. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie is produced by New Line, and Zach Cregger, a former actor who now works as a director, created the script. Cregger will also create alongside his Barbarian production group, Roy Lee of Vertigo and J.D. Raphael Margules and Lifshitz from BoulderLight Pictures. Also producing is Miri Yoon from Vertigo. Weapons is touted as a linked-together multistory horror epic with a tone similar to Paul Thomas Anderson’s 1999 actor-packed display Magnolia. Plot information is being kept behind lock and key, though. Character specifics for Pascal hadn’t been disclosed. Pascal performed in dramas such as Narcos and Games of Thrones before getting the part of helmeted bounty killer Din Djarin in the Star Wars series titled The Mandalorian. And although the actor’s face is not usually seen in the competition, Mandalorian’s fame increased Pascal’s galactic appeal. He played the lead in the movie The Last of Us earlier this year. He is now heading into shooting the Gladiator movie for the directors Ridley Scott and Sony. Weapons is a horror epic comprising multiple interconnected storylines that share a tonal similarity with the movie “Magnolia.” It is described as a multi-layered, interwoven horror tale that explores chance and coincidence while delving into individuals’ interconnectedness.
