US military conducts anti-ISIS airstrike in Syria

The US military has conducted a precision airstrike in the Dayr az Zawr Province in Syria, killing two ISIS members and wounding another, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a press release.The militants were moving a truckload of weapons which were destroyed during the strike. This strike occurred in an area formerly controlled by the Syrian regime and Russians, CENTCOM said.According to the release, the airstrike is part of CENTCOM's ongoing commitment, along with partners in the region, to disrupt and degrade efforts by militants to plan, organize, and conduct attacks against civilians and military personnel from the US, its allies and partners throughout the region and beyond.
