Pakistan extends airspace closure for Indian aircraft

The Pakistani government on Friday decided to extend its ban on Indian aircraft in its airspace until June 24.The Pakistan Aviation Authority said in a statement that the ban applies to all aircraft registered, operated, owned, or leased by India, noting that the decision also includes Indian military aircraft.It clarified that no flights operated by Indian airlines or air operators will be allowed to enter or transit through Pakistani airspace during this period.On May 10, India and Pakistan announced a ceasefire agreement to end the fighting that erupted between them following the killing of tourists in the Indian-administered part of the disputed Kashmir region.
