The FIFA Foundation announced its support for the World Amputee Football Federation (WAFF) by contributing to a series of projects and initiatives planned over the coming years, working together to help advance efforts to develop the game worldwide.In this regard, the FIFA Foundation has committed to assisting WAFF in organizing a series of programs that will provide more opportunities for amputees over the next three years.The FIFA Foundation will support the federation by assisting in the organization of the Amputee Football World Cup (men's and women's), as well as holding continental and national tournaments. It will also help the WAFF implement development projects in new countries, with a particular focus on promoting the sport among women and youth through a series of initiatives specifically designed to empower girls and women who play this type of football by helping them overcome the challenges they face in accessing resources and opportunities.This sport engages more than 5,000 players in over 60 countries across five continents, and this collaboration aims to engage more amputees in the sport.
