Philippine Air Force searches for missing fighter jet during night operation

The Philippine Air Force announced that it is currently searching for an FA-50 fighter jet that went missing after midnight during a ‘tactical night operation’.’The aircraft lost communication with the rest of the flight involved in the mission minutes before reaching the target area,’ Philippine Air Force spokesman Col. Consuelo Castillo said, as reported by the Philippine News Agency.Other aircraft repeatedly tried to re-establish contact with the missing plane, before it returned to Mactan, Cebu, in central Philippines.He explained that the Philippine Air Force is conducting intensive and comprehensive search operations, and using all available resources, to locate the missing fighter jet.The Air Force said its top priority was the safe return of the crew.
