Samsung has announced the launch of its new Galaxy A06 5G smartphone, set to be released in global markets.The device, equivalent in technical specifications to the Galaxy F06 5G, comes with up to 6GB of RAM, with an additional 6GB of virtual memory, and internal storage up to 128GB, supporting external MicroSD memory cards.The device features a 6.7-inch PLS LCD screen with HD+ resolution (720 x 1600 pixels) and a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth browsing. It uses a notch for the front camera instead of a hole punch and includes a fingerprint sensor integrated into the side power button.The Galaxy A06 5G runs the new One UI 7 based on Android 15, though it may lack some features available in flagship phones. The phone will receive four major Android updates, compared to the Galaxy A06 4G, which will receive only two updates.The device includes a 50-megapixel main rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth camera for enhanced portrait shots. The front camera is 8 megapixels, designed for selfies and video calls. The phone is powered by a 5000mAh battery, supporting 25W fast charging.The Galaxy A06 5G features a 3.5mm headphone jack, supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz/5GHz), and has an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. The phone weighs 191 grams and has a thickness of 8mm.The Galaxy A06 5G is based on the Galaxy A06 4G, unveiled last August. However, the new version relies on MediaTek's Dimensity 6300 processor, providing support for 12 bands of 5G networks.
