German chancellor rejects Trump’s Gaza plan

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has strongly rejected US President Donald Trump's proposal on the resettlement of Palestinians outside the Gaza Strip, stressing that Berlin adheres to a firm position in support of the two-state solution.At an election event for the Social Democrats' party in Ludwigsburg, Scholz stressed that the German government completely rejects the idea of transferring the residents of the Gaza Strip to other countries, calling for the search for political solutions that respect Palestinian rights and ensure security and stability in the region.The German chancellor also confirmed the importance of intensifying international efforts to prevent further escalation and work to achieve peaceful coexistence in the Middle East.Trump had called a few days ago to displace the residents of the Gaza Strip from their land, but his call was met with great opposition from the international community.
