Prophet’s Birthday (Milad an-Nabi) in UAE
The Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi, specifically the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), has made an official announcement about the provision of complimentary parking, tolls, and public bus schedules for the forthcoming public holiday on September 29th in Prophet’s Birthday.
During the holiday period of Prophet’s Birthday, surface parking lots will be exempt from charges, commencing on Friday and concluding at 7:59 a.m. on Saturday.
During the official holiday for Prophet’s Birthday, there will be no charge for parking spaces at the Musaffah M-18 truck parking lot. The ITC has issued a call to drivers to refrain from parking in locations where it is forbidden and obstructing the flow of traffic.
Furthermore, it emphasized the importance of adhering to correct parking protocols by drivers, specifically by parking their vehicles in specified places and refraining from occupying residential spots between the hours of 9pm and 8am.
According to the official statement, it has been announced that the Darb toll gate system would be exempt from charges on Friday. The collection of toll gate costs will recommence on Saturday during the designated peak periods, specifically from 7am to 9am and from 5pm to 7pm.
The public bus services in Abu Dhabi will adhere to their regular operating schedule on weekends and official holidays.
According to the ITC, the closure of Customers’ Happiness Centres throughout the Emirate of Abu Dhabi is scheduled throughout the vacation period.
