Russia announced today that it has carried out a new round of prisoner exchange with Ukraine, as part of the agreements reached during the talks held in Istanbul on June 2.In a statement, the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the return of a group of servicemen who had been held in areas controlled by Ukraine, noting that Ukrainian prisoners of war were handed over to the other side in return.Earlier, the ministry had announced its readiness to conduct daily prisoner exchanges with the Ukrainian side in accordance with the timetable agreed upon in Istanbul, without disclosing the number of prisoners on either side.It is worth noting that during the Istanbul talks, the two countries agreed to release more than 1,000 prisoners of war from each side, all of whom were either wounded, ill, or under the age of 25. These exchanges have been carried out in stages over the past few weeks.
