Pakistani security sources said that a vehicle laden with explosives rammed a Pakistani military convoy today in a town near the Afghan border, killing at least 13 soldiers.
The sources added that the convoy was attacked in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan Agency. They explained that about 10 other soldiers were wounded, some of them critically, and were airlifted to a military hospital for treatment.
Pakistani security forces and the army have been conducting security operations to pursue armed groups entrenched in the mountains along the border with Afghanistan, targeting security and military checkpoints and residential areas.
