South Korea calls for restraint, de-escalation of tensions in region after US strikes on Iran

South Korea announced that it is closely monitoring developments following the US attack on three nuclear sites in Iran, calling for restraint and swift easing of tensions in the region.Yonhap News Agency quoted a South Korean Foreign Ministry official as saying that the Korean government hopes for resolving the nuclear issue and that it will continue to participate in international efforts to achieve this.This came hours after US President Donald Trump announced that the United States had carried out 'a very successful attack' targeting three nuclear sites in Iran, including the Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan facilities.
