South Korea added about 245,000 jobs in May, marking the largest increase in 13 months.According to Statistics Korea, the number of employed people reached 29.16 million in May, an increase of 245,000 from the same period last year.This is the first time employment has grown by more than 200,000 jobs since South Korea added 261,000 jobs in April of last year.May marked the fifth consecutive month of job growth after a slight decline in December, when South Korea recorded a net loss of 52,000 jobs, according to Statistics Korea data.Since then, the trend has reversed, with a net gain of 135,000 jobs in January, 136,000 in February, 139,000 in March, and 194,000 in April.
