One person was killed and several others were injured after a boat crashed into a ferry in Clearwater, Florida.Local police told CNN that police were informed that the boat collided with a ferry carrying 45 people, including two crew members, near the Memorial Causeway Bridge, resulting in one death and several others being injured, some critically.Police reported that the ferry came to a resting place on a sandbar south of the bridge, and the other passengers were safely evacuated. The boat fled the scene but was identified. They noted that an investigation into the incident has been launched.Last February, three people were killed and two others were injured, one of them critically, after a boat capsized off the coast of Staten Island, New York.
