US President, UK Prime Minister talk economic deal

US President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer discussed an economic agreement between the two countries in a phone call.A spokesperson for the British Prime Minister's Office described the talks as productive, adding that the two sides discussed the fruitful negotiations between their respective teams on the UK-US prosperity deal and agreed that they will continue at an accelerated pace this week.Press reports said the UK is trying to negotiate an exemption from tariffs on imports to the United States.The US President said last Friday that he is open to reaching agreements with countries seeking to avoid US tariffs.
