US launches large-scale strikes on Yemen’s houthis

The United States launched large-scale airstrikes against Yemen's Houthis.The US Central Command said Sunday the operations will continue and aim to degrade their offensive capabilities and ensure freedom of navigation in the Red Sea.A footage of the strikes on Houthi air defenses, radars, and drone launchers were released on the Central Command's X account.For his part, US National Security Advisor Mike Wiltz said that President Donald Trump had taken steps to protect US soldiers and interests in the region, stressing that the primary goal is to deter threats and secure international trade.Trump announced the start of the airstrikes on Saturday, warning the Houthis that ‘hell will rain down upon you like nothing you have ever seen before’ if their Red Sea attacks don't stop.
