TikTok has returned to Apple and Google's app stores in the US, following a delay of the enforcement of a ban on the social media platform. The short-video app, which boasts 170 million users in the US, started restoring its services after weeks of suspension.Last month, US President Donald Trump issued an executive order postponing the TikTok ban for 75 days, giving ByteDance, the Chinese company that owns the app, temporary permission to continue its US operations.Trump told reporters Thursday that the 75-day deadline for TikTok might be extended, as there is still hope for a deal that would allow the platform to keep operating.TikTok, which is used by nearly half of Americans, was briefly banned last month before a law took effect on January 19. The law requires ByteDance to either sell the app due to national security concerns or face a complete ban. (
