40 ISIS members killed in military operation in Northeastern Somalia

Somali authorities announced on Wednesday that counter-terrorism forces carried out a military operation that resulted in 40 ISIS members' deaths and the wounding of others in Puntland State in the Cal Miskaad mountains in Bari Province, northeastern Somalia.The officers who led the military operation announced that most of those killed in the military operation were foreign fighters in the ranks of ISIS, Somali National News Agency (SONNA) reported.The officers reported that the Somali forces currently control all the sites that were affected by the military operation, stressing that they will continue until the remnants are eliminated.
