Brazil's Foreign Affairs Ministry summoned Charge d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Brasilia Gabriel Escobar.The ministry said it summoned Escobar over what it called ‘degrading treatment’ of Brazilian immigrants deported from the United States.The Brazilian Foreign Ministry had asked Washington for clarifications regarding what happened to 88 Brazilian citizens who were deported on Friday after they arrived at Manaus Airport in northern Brazil, handcuffed and chained.
