Egyptian Foreign Minister, President of European Council discuss Gaza ceasefire deal

Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty discussed regional developments, particularly those pertaining to the Gaza Strip, in a meeting with President of the European Council Antonio Costa in Brussels.During the meeting, held as part of his visit to Brussels, the Minister highlighted the strenuous efforts made by Egypt, in cooperation with Qatar and the United States, to secure a deal on ceasefire and hostage-prisoner exchange, according to a statement issued by Egypt's foreign ministry on Monday.He emphasized the importance of all parties adhering to the terms and timeline of the agreement.The Minister also expressed hope that the agreement would expedite the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, and called on the EU to support humanitarian efforts there and participate in reconstruction projects.
