Preliminary result shows Croatia’s President to win second term

Croatian President Zoran Milanovic won reelection for another five-year term, according to preliminary results.Milanovic won more than 75 percent of Sunday's run-off vote, while his opponent Dragan Primorac secured 25 percent, according to the State Electoral Commission.’Croatia, thank you!’, Milanovic told his supporters.’I see this victory as a recognition of my work in the last five years’, he said.Milanovic, 58, almost secured victory in the first round of voting on Dec. 29, when he received over 49 percent of the vote, but fell short of the 50 percent threshold.
