The death toll from the car ramming attack that took place in Magdeburg has risen to five, in addition to over 200 injured, local authorities in Saxony State announced today.Saxony State Premier Reiner Haseloff stated that a person deliberately ran over the victims using a car inside the market last Friday evening, adding that the condition of many of the injured is serious.The German authorities announced earlier that a car had hit a crowd of people inside a market, resulting in the initial death toll of two people and the injury of 68 others.The city of Magdeburg, with a population of about 240,000 people, is located about 150 kilometers west of the capital, Berlin, and is one of the largest German cities. The Muslim World League has condemned the vehicular attack in the city of Magdeburg, eastern Germany, resulting in casualties.In a statement on Saturday, the League's General Secretariat reaffirmed its stance against violence and terrorism in all its forms and justifications.Earlier, German authorities announced that at least two people were killed and 60 others injured after a man drove his car into a crowded market in Magdeburg.
