France will support Syria's political transition and will send a special diplomatic envoy to the country in the coming days, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said on Monday.The events in Syria were a stunning defeat for Russia, as Moscow may now lose access to its military assets in Syria, Barrot said in a press statement.The Syrian opposition announced Sunday the liberation of Damascus from the former regime and the release of all detainees.
