Oman, India discuss organizing Indian Ocean conference

The India-Oman Strategic Consultation Team held Tuesday its 13th meeting.The Indian side was represented by Arun Kumar Chatterjee, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Consular Affairs, while the Omani side was represented by Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Issa Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs.Discussions during the meeting dealt with means to enhance bilateral cooperation in various economic fields, trade and investment exchanges, cultural and educational cooperation.On the sidelines of the meeting, Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy met with Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Indian Minister of External Affairs, where the two sides exchanged views on prospects for future cooperation and regional and international developments.
