US provides $725 million military aid package to Ukraine

The United States has announced an additional military aid package to Kyiv worth $725 million, including large quantities of artillery shells and missiles, in light of the ongoing military operation against Ukraine since Feb. 24, 2022.US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said in a statement that President Joe Biden directed the Department of Defense (Pentagon) to provide Kyiv with the equipment that it needs to defend its territory, independence, and freedom with urgency.Sullivan affirmed the Biden administration's intention to also provide Ukraine with hundreds of thousands of artillery shells, thousands of additional missiles, and other critical capabilities before the end of his term.The US is considered the main military supporter of Ukraine.
